The medical records of 26 patients with BWT treated between 1966 - 2000 were reviewed with particular emphasis on treatment and histology. The patients were divided into 2 groups according to the treatment applied. Group I consisted of 9 patients treated between 1966 - 1982. Treatment was based on initial surgery. Four patients started treatment with chemotherapy - 1 course of ACTD and Vincristine (VCR) and radiotherapy 12 cGy to the kidney with the less advance tumor followed by heminephrectomy in 1 pt, nephrectomy 1 pt, and 2 bilateral nephrectomies. None of the patients in this group survived, 4 died of treatment complications, the remaining from the diseases. In Group II all 17 patients received preoperative chemotherapy consisting of ACTD, VCR.
