Streszczenie angielskie: The T cell receptor-CD3 (TCR/CD3) complex is a multichain structure in charge of antigen recognition in T cells. Despite many genetic, structural, and functional data obtained in recent years, essential questions concerning the TCR/CD3 complex still remain open, including: 1) the precise number of polypeptides in each TCR/CD3 complex, their interactions and spatial arrangement, 2) the role(s) of each polypeptide in antigen recognition and/or in receptor signal transmission, and 3) the relationship between the TCR/CD3 complex and other membrane or cytoplasmic molecules involved in downstream signaling. In this work we shall review data concerning some of these issues, proposing a model of the overall structure of the TCR/CD3 complex to explain its known features.

Streszczenie angielskie: Angiocentric T-cell lymphoma (described by Liebow as lymphomatoid granulomatosis), which typically involves nose and upper respiratory system, is mostly a multisystemic disease. We report a 27-year-old patient with multiple lesions in both lungs in chest X-ray and CT images resembling the metastatic tumour of the lung. The immunophenotype of 74.5 p.c. of T-lymphocytes from BALF was CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD45RO+, CD56-, and CD4/CD8 ratio had a value of 0.26. The diagnosis of angiocentric lymphoma in this patient was confirmed by a histopatological analysis of the material from thoracotomy. The patient was treated with aggressive, multidrug chemotherapy, but he died 3 months after the beginning of the disease with the symptoms of the DIC syndrome and respiratory insufficiency.
