    Streszczenie angielskie: Cholelithiasis is an uncommon disease in children. Acute necrotizing pancreatitis is the mpost serious complication of this disease. During the last year, two female patients aged 12 and 14 years were treated at our center for acute necrotizing pancreatitis complicating cholelithiasis. More than 90 p.c. of their pancreatic glands were necrotic. THe moreseverely ill patients underwent multi-staged surgery, whereass tha patient in relatively better condition was operated on in one stage. The surgery entailed resection of necrotic tissue, cholecystectomy and reconstruction of the outflow of bile and pancreatic juice with a double Roux-Y loop. The postoperative course was complicated by biliary and pancreatic fistulae.
