    Streszczenie angielskie: Pacing in end-stage heart failure in patients iwht long a-v delay and left bundle branch block is one of the new indications for permanent cardiac stimulation. First experiences in this field were obtained with the use of classical, right-sided sequential atrio-ventricular pacing with short a-v delay. Clinical trials with biventricular pacing, which allows ventricular resynchronization have been performed since 1994. These studies should explain the mechanism of its benefit and answer the question, which patients will respond to the treatment.
