    Streszczenie polskie: Ze względu na szerokie rozpowszechnienie wsród dzieci chorób przebiegajacych z goraczką i(lub) niepokojem oraz ciągłe poszukiwnaie nowych, skutecznych i bezpiecznych metod leczenia, postanowiono ocenić skuteczność leczenia preparatem Viburcol dzieci z powyższymi dolegliwościami i porównać je z wynikami w grupie kontrolnej. W tym celu zbadano 176 dzieci w wieku między 6 dni a 8 lat. Do grupy badanej zakwalifikowano 108 dzieci, a do grupy kontrolnej 65 dzieci. Badania prowadzono wykorzystując ankietę, przygotowaną w tym celu zarówno dla lekarza, jak i rodziców dziecka, w trakcie 3 kolejnych wizyt. Analizowane parametry skategoryzowano wg powszechnie stosowanych skal badawczych. Następnie wyniki badań poddano analizie statystycznej. Stwierdzono, że efekty terapeutyczne uzyskane w wyniku stosowania Viburcolu są podobne jak po lekach konwencjonalnych, ale objawy niepożądane w grupie badanej występowały istotnie rzadziej aniżeli w grupie kontrolnej. Wykazano zatem, że Viburcol jest skutecznym i bezpiecznym lekiem, znoszącym objawy niepokoju o różnej etiologii. Ponadto powoduje istotną poprawę u dzieci z infekcjami układu oddechowego, stanowiąc równocześnie istotny element wspomagający terapię klasyczną.

    Streszczenie angielskie: Due to the frequent occurrence in children diseases accompanied by fever and/or agitation and the permanent search for new, effective and safe methods of treatment a decision was made o evaluate the effects of treatment with Viburcol of children with above symptoms and compare them with the results in a control group. 176 children of age between 6 day and 8 years were tested; 108 in the test group and 65 in the control group. The testing used a questionnaire, given to the doctors and the child's parents during 3 successive visits. The analysed parameters were categorised according to the generally used research scales . Then the results of the tests were statistically analysed. It has been found that the therapeutic effects achieved by the application of Viburcol are similar to those achieved by conventional therapy, yet the negative side-effects in the group tested occurred less frequently than in the control group. Thus it has been stated that Viburcol is and sav medicine in the case of symptoms of agitation of different aetiology. Besides, it brings about a considerable improvement in children with infections of respiratory tract, being simultaneously a meaningful element of supporting the classical therapy.
