    Streszczenie angielskie: We have investigated the FcçRIIa polymorphism in a Polish population. The frequency of FcçRIIa alleles was similar to those obtained in other Caucasian populations. There was no differences in this polymorphism between male and female and depending from age studied subjects. The determination of FcçRIIa polymorphism may have implications for future studies designed to elucidate the relationship between FcçRIIa and diseases susceptibility.

    Streszczenie angielskie: B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia is malignant disorder characterised by accumulation of resting lymphocytes. We investigated the mRNA expression of cyclins A, B, C, D1, D2 and D3, which are characteristic for different phases of the cell cycle, by multi-probe RNase protection assay system. We have examined expression of cyclins in unstimulated and stimulated PMA and LPS lymphocytes in vitro. In our study, all B-CLL tested samples expressed the mRNA cyclin C, D1, and overexpression D2 after stimulation PMA. mRNA cyclin A and D3 appeared in the cases where the cells proliferated in vitro. Induction of cyclin B expression was observed in only 5 cases B-CLL after treating with PMA and LPS.

    Streszczenie angielskie: Cyclin dependent kinases (CDKS) play an important role in control of the cell cycle of eucaryotic cells. The phases Go and G1 are controlled by CDK4 and CDK6. Inhibitor p16 blocks binding cdk4/6 with cyclins, and stops transition of G1/S. Overexpression of p16 stops the proliferation. The aim of this study was to determine the expression of INK4a/MTS1 gene, encoding p16 in lymphocytes from patients with B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (B-CLL). B-CLL is a disease with low proliferative activity of lymphocytes with the accumulation of lymphocyte clones, stopped in GO/G1. Expression of mRNA was examined according to RNA-ase Protection Assay (RPA). The presence of p16 protein was detected using monoclonal antibodies anti p16, labelled with fluorescein. Leukaemic immunopthenottype CD5/CD19 was present at more than 70 p.c. of cells in all examined cases. Expression of INK4a is lower in cells stimulated with mitogens than in quiescent cells.
