Streszczenie angielskie: Selected immune parametrers in the blood of salt miners were analysed to calculate whether there is an effect of salt dust, diesel exhaust, NOx and smoking on these biomarkers. Analysis of soluble markers in the serum (s-ICAM, MCP-1, CC16, Immunoglobulins) was done in 290 miners. Analysis of cells (complete blood count, lymphocyte substes) was performed in 143 subjects. Significant differents between non-smokers and smokers were found for the number of all leukocyte types (p 0.012) and also for the serum parameters CC16 (p = 0.021), s-ICAM (p = 0.00), IgE (p = 0.039), IgM (p = 0.027). Regression analysis indicates an effect of the exposure in the salt mine, number of lymphocytes, T-cells and activated T-cells seems to be higher with increasing exposure (e.g. results for respirable dust p = 0.0099, p = 0.011). These results suggest, that the analysis of lymphocytes and their subsets can coplete other investigations (e.g. lung function analysis) to monitor exposure response relationship in occupational studies investigating the effect of inhaled substances.
