    Streszczenie polskie: Idea pielęgniarstwa urzeczywistnia się w relacjach międzyludzkich. Budowanie właściwych, tj. terapeutycznych relacji z pacjentem nie jest sprawą łatwą. Wymaga uświadomienia istoty tego zawodu, zaaprobowania, a następnie uzewnętrznienia jej w swoich postawach oraz zachowaniu. Niebagatelne znaczenie ma tutaj także fenomen troskliwości, który jest naturalnym stanem ludzkiej egzystencji, charakterystycznym dla większości populacji. Troska jest ludzkim uczuciem oraz uniwersalną postawą, którą okazujemy sobie oraz innym ludziom. Troskliwość okazywana drugiemu człowiekowi pozwala budować takie więzi, które zapewniają mu pomoc najbardziej potrzebną w określonej sytuacji. Jeszcze wartościowsze stają się te relacje, które przybierają postać relacji partnerskich, eliminują dysproporcje wynikające z zależności pacjenta od pielęgniarki. Jedynie relacje partnerskie w pełni pozwalają poznać i zrozumieć istotę drugiego człowieka, a przez to "usłyszeć" jego potrzeby. Rozwijanie relacji pacjent - pielęgniarka, jako dialogu, pozwala na naprawdę skuteczne działanie pielęgniarskie, wynikające z głębi naszego człowieczeństwa.

    Streszczenie angielskie: The idea of manifested is realised in interpersonal relationships. It is not easy to create proper, that is therapeutic, relations with patient. It requires that one has to become aware of the essence of this job, to approve and then manifest it in one's attitudes and behaviour. What plays an important role here as well is the phenomenon of consideration, which is the natural state of human existence and is characteristic of the majority of the population. Consideration is a human feeling as well as a universal attitude to ourselves and to other people. Consideration showed for another person allows one to create bonds which ensure him or help, which is mot needed in a particular situation. The relations based on partnership are even more precious, and thus eliminate any disproportion resulting from the dependence of the patient and he nurse. Only such relationships make it possible to get to know and to understand another person and consequently to "hear" his needs. Developing the patient - nurse relation in the form of dialogue allows really efficient nursing treatment stemming from our deeply rooted humanity.
