Streszczenie angielskie:
Cancer antigens CA 125 and CYFRA 21-1 are relatively well studied in certain malignancies such as ovarian and lung cancer, they may also bring some additional information in endometrial cancer. Clinical material comprised of 55 postmenopausal patients with endometrial cancer, serum samples were taken 48 hour before the surgery. CA 125 was assessed immunoenzymatically (reference level 35 U/ml), IRMA (immunoradiometric assay method) was applied for CYFRA 21-1 determinations (reference level 3.2 ng/ml). Cyfra 21-1 levels were elevated in 29.1 p.c. of cases. This marker was positive in 22.1 p.c. of patients of I st FIGO stage and in 56.3 p.c. and 50 p.c. of cases of II and III FIGO stage, respectively. Fisher's exact test and Kruskal-Wallis test confirmed significant differences in CYFRA 21-1 results between groups of FIGO stage of disease. The CA 125 positive cases were of 38.2 p.c. of group studied, this marker was positive in 51.5 p.c. of cases of FIGO I stage of disease, and reached 78.7 p.c. and 100 p.c. cases for stages II and III, respectively. Kruskal-Wallis test confirmed the significance of relationship between CA 125 levels and FIGO stage of disease (p.=0.0025). Our results show that CYFRA 21-1 and CA 125 might be an additional parameter in clinical evaluation of patients with endometrial cancer. Further observation would reveal th einfluence of the CA 125/CYFRA 21-1 positivity on patients' survival, the study concerning that is in the progress.

Streszczenie angielskie:
The procedure of designing the non-linear dependencies of survival time on a family of covariates is described in the paper. This dependence is treated as a prognostic model. The first stage of this procedure involves designing such layers of formal neurons with are ranked with respect to selected subsets of censored data. The model based on the hierarchical networks of formal neurons results in the piecewise constant dependence of the survival time on the covariates. The replacement of the formal neurons results in the piecewise constant dependence of the survival time on the covariates. The replacement of the formal neurons by the logistic ones made it possible transform this dependence into differentiable, regression-type function.

Streszczenie angielskie:
Purpose: To determine, whether the myopia could has an influence on corneal endothelium morphology. Material and methods: Patients age was from 13-th to 18-th years. Lens wearers and patients with external eye diseases and ocular surgery in the history, were excluded. The endothelium was imaged by non-contact microscope Topcon SP-2000P. The following parameters were examined: corneal thickness, corneal endothelial density, mean cell area of endothelial cells, coefficient of variation of cell size. Results: There wer eno significant differences in the corneal thickness among various degrees of myopic refractive error. Endothelial cell density (ECD) decreased in eyes with high myopia, but it not correlated wither with corneal thickness nor with axial length of eyes. There was correlation between average cell area (AVG) and the degree of myopia.
