Streszczenie angielskie: The phenomenon of fetal escape from maternal anti-allogenic immune response is not completely understood. It was hypothesized that fibrininogen/fibrin and albumin, derived from plasma, can form on the surfaces of various cells, a complex, which is able to prevent the access of immune-competent cells and molecules. In this report, we have investigated, using immunohistochemical approach, whether such a complex could exist on the surface of villi in the human placenta. By means of both peroxidase-based and fluorescent techniques, we have immunolocalized fibrinogen/fibrin and albumin in paraffin sections of normal termplacentas, obtained upon delivery from 11 women. We found marked deposition of both fibrinogen/fibrin and albumin around the villi, in the form of dense layers covering respectively 78,4 ń 1,4 p.c. and 82,4 ń 1,2 p.c. of the villous surface. At those sites, both immunoreactivities strictly colocalized, as revealed by doublelabel immunofluorescent confocal microscopy. The analysis of fluorescence-resonance energy transfer (FRET) between fluorophores indicated that a substantial portion of fibrinogen/fibrin and albumin molecules on the villous surface are separated from each other by the distance smaller or equal to 30nm. Our results the presence of an inter-molecular complex between fibrinogen/fibrin and albumin on the surface of human trophoblast, which might constitute a novel element of a protective barrier at the feto-maternal interface.

Wykazano także wybitnie pozytywną reakcję komórek nowotworowych z wimentyną i progesteronem, a ujemną z estrogenami, cykliną D1, CD117, CD34, markerami endokrynnymi i przewodowymi cytokeratynami.

Streszczenie angielskie: A case solid pseudopapillary tumor (SPT) of the pancreas with typical clinical history is presented. It was primarily (only o morphological basis) erroneously diagnosed as endocrine carcinoma. Because the morphological characteristics of SPT and endocrine tumors of pancreas may be very similar, and they both occur in young women as cystic pancreatic lesions, the use of immunohistochemical methods in differential diagnosis is often mandatory. Taking into account the immunohistochemical results of our case and literature data, antibodies CD10 and CD56 seem to be the most useful. In our case the positive reaction with vimentine and progesterone were also obtained. The tumor cells were negativer with cyclin D1, CD117, CD34, estrogen, "ductal" cytokeratins and endocrine markers. The cell proliferation markers (Ki67, PCNA) do not seem to play any role in assessment of SPT malignancy. In our SPT case an exceptional coexistence with gastric stromal tumor was found. To the best of our knowledge it is the first case of such a coexistence described in litrature.
