Streszczenie angielskie:
The objective of the study was to evaluate the diagnostic value of transvaginal colour and pulsed Doppler in the diagnosing of ectopic pregnancy. 53 women suspected of ectopic pregnancy were subjected to transvaginal ultrasonography with the use of colour and pulsed Doppler. An image of appendage vascularisation was obtained in all patients using the colour Doppler; pulse Doppler served to calculate the resistance index (RI), pulsation index (PI) and systolic/diastolic index (S/D) for blood circulation in the ovarian and tubal vessles in all patients. During laparoscopy, ectopic pregnancy was confirmed in 25 out of 53 women (47.2 p.c.). In each case of tubal pregnancy colour Doppler examination revealed a more intensive vascularisation of the oviduct in which the foetal ovum was implanted. The pulse Doppler examination revealed values of RI which were lower by 63 p.c. on the average, and S/D values lower by 56 p.c. on the average in the oviduct arterial vessels on the side of the ectopic pregnancy than on the opposite side.
