    Streszczenie polskie: U 60 chorych z oparzeniami twarzy i górnych dróh oddechowych przeprowadzono badania poziomu immunoglobuliny klasy IgA w ślinie w 1, 7, 14 i 30 dobie po urazie termicznym. Oznaczenia wykonywano metodą immunodyfuzji radialnej. Wyniki porównano z grupą kontrolną 30 zdrowych osób. Wykazano kinetykę poziomu IgA w czasie; obniżone stężenie w 1 dobie po oparzeniu może stanowić przyczynę zwiększonej podatności na infekcje jamy ustnej.

    Streszczenie angielskie: Examination of salivary IgA levels in 60 patients with facial and upper airways burns was conducted on the 1st, 2nd, 14th, 30th day after thermal injury. The salivary IgA level was examined by the use of radial immunodiffusion. The results were compared to a control group of 30 uninjured patients. The kinetics (changing) of IgA levels with time was observed. It's decreased level within the 1st day after injury may cause increased susceptibility to infections of the oral cavity.

    Streszczenie polskie: W pracy oceniano relacje pomiędzy pierwiastkami: Ca, Mg, Na, P w cemencie korzeniowym u osób zdrowych i u pacjentów z zapaleniem przyzębia dorosłych. Stwierdzono zależności pomiędzy parami pierwiastków Ca i P, Ca i Na, Ca i Mg oraz ujemny współczynnik regresji: wzrost zawartości Na, P i Mg powoduje spadek zawartości Ca w kostniwie. Stwierdzone zależności były bardziej nasilone w kostniwie pacjentów z zapaleniem przyzębia dorosłych.

    Streszczenie angielskie: The study evaluated the relationship between the trace elements Ca, Mg, Na and P in the dental cementum in healthy subjects and in patients with adult periodontitis. A dependency was found between the pairs of elements Ca and P, Ca and Na, Ca and Mg, as well as a negative coefficient regression: an increase in the level of Na, P and Mg causes a decrease in level of Ca in the cementum. The dependencies observed were stronger in the cementum of patients with adult periodontitis.

    Streszczenie angielskie: In the work the researchers present the characteristics of Carisolv - the system designed to the chemo-mechanical removal of carries tissue. The composition, mechanism of functioning and the structure of the complementary tools are described as well as the methodology of clinical conduct. The focus was directed on the theroetical basis of the chemo-mechanical removal of carries and the development of these methods in the course of the recent years. Additionally, a new mechanical device Carisolv Power Drive constituting a development of the current system is demonstrated.

    Streszczenie angielskie: The aim of this work the assessment of the intensity and component structures of DMF number and value of OHI-S index according to Green and Vermillon by women that are working in environment of flour and sugar dust, on the example of ZPC "Skawa" Wadowice. In tested group, which counted 120 people, the average DMF number was high and its average value was 24.64. the highest values it showed among worker of department, which machinery were less modern. With relation to the countrywide data it was 47 p.c. higher. Also it showed higher value by bakers than packers. Structure of components was highly unfavorable in case of D and M. It exceeded average country values more than 100,p.c. The value of F was 100 p.c. lower. Index of treatment achieved level of 50 p.c. country data. The number of tested people with tartar on the basis of OHI-S index is 28 p.c. higher. There are 7 times more toothless people than by the country index. The analysis of received results serve to work out the prophylactic program, as well - in prospect - to reactivate out - patient clinic, which were eliminate few years ago.
