    Streszczenie polskie: Określono skład kwasów tłuszczowych w margarynach występujących na rynku w latach 1996-2000. Przebadano 56 próbek margaryn niskotłuszczowych, 40 margaryn pełnotłuszczowych miękkich oraz 78 próbek margaryn twardych, pochodzących od kilkunastu różnych producentów. Stwierdzono bardzo duży rozrzut zawartości poszczególnych grup kwasów tłuszczowych: nasyconych, monoenowych, polienowych i izomerów trans w badanym materiale. Zdecydowaną przewagą "pozytywnych" kwasów tłuszczowych nienasyconych nad nasyconymi oraz znakomity udział izomerów trans wykazywały margaryny niskotłuszczowe miękkie.

    Streszczenie angielskie: Fatty acids content in margarines from Polish market in the years 1996-2000 was investigated 56 samples of low fat, 40 normal fat and 78 stick were examined derived from different procedures. Considrable differences in amount of particular groups of fatty acids were observed during investigation period i.e. saturated, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated and trans isomers in the same type of margarines. The low fat soft type of margarines showed the most desirable from nutritional point of view fatty acids content - such as low level of saturated acids as well as absence of trans isomers.

    Streszczenie angielskie: The aim of our research was to estimate the correlation between optic nerve head parameters examined with laser scanning ophthalmoscope and results of central, visual field (MD and PSD) in the youth and the evaluation the role of this correlation in juvenile glaucoma early diagnosis. Material: Three group of patients. Group I consisted of 32 eyes (16 children) with juvenile glaucoma in which trabeculectomy was performed. There were 72 eyes of 32 children with glaucoma juvenile suspect in the group II. Control group (III) contained 20 eyes of 10 children without glaucoma. The age of patients ranged from 9 to 18 years. The mean intraocular pressure was 16 mmHg in the I group, 18 mmHg in the II group and 15,6 mmHg in the III group. Simple Regression Analysis of mean values of biomorphometric parameters of optic nerve head for Mean Defect of central visual field was used in all three groups. Results: the statistically significant correlation between Vol. B and MD was observed in the I group. There was no such correlation in the II group, but correlation between Av. Sl. and MD was presented. In the III group mean value of MD was the smallet one and correlated with Vol. B. Statistically significant correlation between mean values of PSD and Vol. B was observed in the I and II group, between PSD and Vol. A in group III. Conclusion: There was the correlation between optic nerve head parameters and mean deviation of retinal sensivity of central visual field in the youth. This examination can be helpful in early diagnosis of primary juvenile glaucoma.

    Streszczenie polskie: W pracy zatosowano technikę MS/MS do oznaczania ośmiu mikotoksyn z grupy trichotecenów stosując chromatograf gazowy sprzężony ze spektrometrem mas firmy Finnigan Mat typ GCQ. Opisano optymalne warunki analizy kolizyjnie indukowanej dysocjacji (CID) i wybrano najlepsze pary jonów (jon pierwotny i jon potomny) dla wszystkich analizowanych toksyn.

    Streszczenie angielskie: Trichothecene mycotoxins are commonly distributed in cereals in the world. Rapid and accurate methods for the determination of these toxins are required to prevent the intoxication of human and to contribute to the supply of safe foods and feed. MSMS mode was applied for identification of eight trichothecene mycotoxins with Finnigan/Mat GCQ GC/MS system. We describe here optimal parameters of CID and to obtain best pairs of ions (precursor ions and daughter ions) for all analysed toxins.

    Streszczenie polskie: Przebadano skład kwasów tłuszczowych w 31 próbkach wybranych tłuszczów spożywczych, stosowanych do smarowania pieczywa: margarynach kubkowych nisko- i pełnotłuszczowych, tłuszczach mieszanych i maśle, zakupionych na rynku warszawskim w latach 2000-2001 i pochodzących od 12 producentów. Stwierdzono duże zróżnicowanie ilościowe poszczególnych grup kwasów tłuszczowych w badanych tłuszczach. Masło w porównaniu do margaryn i tłuszczów mieszanych odznacza się niższą zawartością kwasów polienowych oraz zawiera więcej nasyconych kwasów tłuszczowych. Obecność izomerów trans w badanych próbkach tłuszczów była bardzo zróżnicowana - od 0 do 19 g/100 g tłuszczu.

    Streszczenie angielskie: Thirty one samples of various spreads were examined, including reduced and full fat soft margarines, mixed fats and butter purchased in the Polish market in 2000-2001. Large differences were detected in fatty acid content between the examined samples of different groups of spreads. The content of polyunsaturated fatty acids was found to be lower, and that of saturated fatty acids higher in the butter than in the soft margarines and mixed fats. The levels of trans isomers in the tested samples varied considerably, from 0 to 19 g/100 g fat.

    Streszczenie angielskie: A series of 1-substituted pyrrolidin-2-one and pyrrolidine derivatives were syntheised and tested for electrocardiographic, antiarrhythmic, and antihypertensive activity as well as for ŕ1- and ŕ2-adrenoceptors binding affinities. Among the newly synthesised derivatives several compounds with 3-(4-arylpiperazin-1-yl)propyl moiety displayed strong antiarrhythmic (7a-12a) and antihypertensive (7a-11a) activities. Compound 11a, 1-[2-acetoxy-3-[4-(2-methoxyphenyl)piperazin-1-yl]propyl]pyrrolidin-2-one, was the most potent in this series. The pharmacological results and binding studies that their antiarrhythmic and hypotensive effects may be related to their ŕ-adrenolytic properties, and that those properties depend on the presence of the 1-phenylpiperazine moiety with a methoxy- or chloro- substituent in the ortho position in the phenyl ring.

    Streszczenie angielskie: Purpose: to evaluate the efficacy of trabeculectomy in the patients with juvenile glaucoma in the long-term follow-up. Material and methods: in 22 of 37 patients - 41 trabeculectomies with basal iridectomy were performed. The age of children ranged from 6 to 18 years, mean 12,4 years. In one eye of 15-year-old boy we used Mitomycin C during reoperation. The follow-up period ranged from 2 to 14 years, mean 8 years. Patients were divided into 2 groups depending on the follow-up: I group (19 eyes) was observed 2-6 years, mean 5,1 years, II group (18 eyes) 7-14 years, mean 11,1 years. In the I group 57,9 p.c. and in the II group 61 p.c. of children were myopic. Results: intraocular pressure lower or equal to 21 mmHg with no glaucoma medication was obtained in 79 p.c. of eyes in the I group and 66,7 p.c. of of eyes in the II group. The difference was not statistically significant. In other eye local application of B-blockers and dorzolamid decreased intraocular pressure to values safe for the optic nerve, what was monitored by visual acuity and laser scaning tomography. Conclusion: Prognosis of juvenile glaucoma patients treated with trabeculectomy is satisfactory but the effectiveness of this procedure decreases together with the elongation of the follow-up period.

    Streszczenie angielskie: Purpose: the evaluation of biomorphometric parameters of optic nerve head of the eyes in myopic anisometropia, to state if glaucoma similar changes described in adults were present. Material and methods: 17 children, 14 girls and 3 boys at the age from 7-18 years, mean 12,6 years with unilateral myopia of mean value 8,6 D. The parameters of optic nerve disc: total contour area (TCA), cup/disc ratio (C/D), neuroretinal rim area (Rim), volume of neuroretinal rim (Vol. A), cup volume (Vol. B), maximum slope (MSL) and average slope angle (ASL) were examined using laser scaning ophthalmoscope in the TopSS system of Laser Diagnostic Technologies Inc. The I group consists of myopic eyes, in the II group there were emmetropic eyes of the same children. Results: refraction in the I group ranged from -4,5 to -12D, mean -8,6D, in the II group from 0 to + 1,0D, mean 0,07D. The mean axial length of eyeballs was 25,57 SD 1,9 mm in the I and 22,47 SD 1,09 mm in II group - the difference was significant. There was not ststistically significant difference between TCA in the I (mean 1,19 SD 0,75 mmý) and II group (mean 2,13 SD 0,49 mmý). Mean C/D ratio and cup volume were significantly smaller in myopic (C/D 0,23 SD 0,16 Vol. B -0,06 SD 0,05) than in emmetropic eyes (C/D 0,33 SD 0,11 mm**3, Vol.B -0,18 SD 0,14 mm**3). Conclusions: Optic nerve disc images in myopic and glaucomatous eyes in children are different. Smaller optic disc cup in myopic than in emmetropic eyes can show, that children myopic eyeballs enlarged without nerve fibers atrophy.

    Streszczenie angielskie: The appropriate esters 1-3 were synthesized by the alkylation of unsubstituted pyrimidin-8-on[2,1-f]theophylline I with ethyl-chloroacetate, ethyl-acrylate and ethyl-4-bromobutyrate. The acids 4-6 were obtained by hydrolysis of the esters 1-3, and transformed into Na salts 4a-6a. Amidation of the ester 1 with 25 p.c. ammonia and hydroxylamine led to amide 7 and N-hydroxyamide 8. The bromination of 1 gave 7-bromo intermediate 9 transformed to the 7-amino derivatives via nucleophilic substitution with phenylpiperazine for compound 10 and morpholine for compound 11. In the reaction of 9, 10 and 11 with sodium alcoholate, the corresponding Na salts 12a-14a were obtained. The pharmacological properties of the compounds were tested in CNS activity screening. It was found that all the investigated compounds produced significant sedative effects in behavioral tests except weak activity of pyrimido[2,1-f]theophyline-9-sodium acetate 4a. The potent activity of pyrimido[2,1-f]theophylline-9-sodium butyrate 6a, pyrimido-[2,1-f]theophylline-9-acetamide-7, 7-N-phenylpiperazine-pyrimid[2,1-f]theophylline-9-sodium acetate 13a, and 7-N-morpholine-pyrimido[2,1-f]theophylline-9-sodium acetate 14a was observed. They inhibited spontaneous locomotor activity, potentiated sedation and prolonged duration of sleeping time after thiopental sodium administration. All compounds had no effects in the test of analgesia and they showed weak anti-convulsant properties. The results ofthis investigation may hypnotic, sedative and/or tranquillizing properties of the tested compounds.

    Streszczenie polskie: Określono zawartość tłuszczu oraz skład kwasów tłuszczowych w 13 wybranych produktach przekąskowych (orzechy, nasiona), dostępnych na rynku warszawskim w latach 2000-2001. Stwierdzono, że badane orzechy i nasdiona odznaczają się zawartością tłuszczu w granicach od 41 do 68 proc. Tłuszcz ten bogaty jest w nienasycone kwasy tłuszczowe. Wyjątek stanowiły wiórki kokosowe, w których tłuszczu dominowały kwasy nasycone.

    Streszczenie angielskie: The purpose of the study was comparison of the bioavailability and pharmacokinetic parameters of acenocoumarol in serum after single oral 8 mg dose (2 tablets) of Acenocumarol 4 mg manufactured by Warszawskie Zakłady Farmaceutyczne Polfa, and Sintrom 4 mg of Novartis Pharma AG., as a reference drug. The evaluation of bioequivalency was conducted in the group of 24 young, healthy volunteers, which received a single dose of the investigational preparation or reference preparation using double-blind, randomised, cross-over method in 2 series with wash-out time of 7 days. Plasma concentrations of acenocoumarol were measured using HOLC method. No statistically significant differences of pharmacokinetic parameters were found between both formulations.
