    Streszczenie polskie: Wprowadzenie nowych programów kształcenia pielęgniarek i położnych jest ściśle związane ze stawianiem pytań dotyczących tego, czy przedsięwzięcia te wdrażane są zgodnie z założonymi celami i planem, czy ich realizacja jest skuteczna i efektywna, a zatem - czy przynosi spodziewane, zaplanowane rezultaty oraz czy toczący się proces jest akceptowany społecznie i nikomu nie szkodzi (w rozumieniu doraźnych i odległych skutków). Pozyskiwaniem informacji na ten temat zainteresowani powinni być zarówno przedstawiciele instytucji finansujących programy (ministerstwa zdrowia i edukacji lub właściciele prywatnych uczelni), osoby zarządzające nimi (władze rektorskie i dziekańskie poszczególnych uczelni lub wyższych szkół zawodowych), ich wykonawcy (nauczyciele), jak również - coraz częściej - ich uczestnicy (studenci). Najczęściej stosowanym (w krajach zachodnich) sposobem gromadzenia, analizowania i interpretowania danych dla wymienionych grup odbiorców jest - obok badań naukowych - ewaluacja. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wybranych aspektów teoretycznych ewaluacji kształcenia pielęgniarek i położnych.

    Streszczenie angielskie: The introduction of new educational programs for nurses and midwives is closely connected with the question of whether such an undertaking is inculcated in compliance with the assumed aims and the plan, whether these are efficient, thus whether in brings the expected, planned results and whether the ongoing process is socially acceptable and causes no harm to antybody (in terms of short and long term effects). Those who should be interested in gathering information on this topic are both the representatives of the institutions financing programs (the Ministry of Health and Education or private schools owners), people in charge of these programs (the authorities of particular universities or higher education vocational schools), those implementing them (teachers) as well as - which is more frequent - their participations (students). The most common (in Western countries) method of gathering, analizing and interpreting data for the aforementioned groups of recipients is - beside scientific research - evaluation. The aim of this article is to present selected theoretical aspects regarding the evaluation of the system of education for nurses and midwives.
