    Streszczenie angielskie: Aim: assessment of the condition of the eyes after surgical treatment including implantation of the posterior artificial lens to the ciliary sulcus with sleral fixation. Patients: 26 patients (27 eyes) at the age of 4-85 years, who underwent surgical treatment in the period from 01.1997 to 04.2000. There were 23 men and 2 women. The follow-up time ranged from 7 to 33 months. Results: Improvement of the best-corrected visual acuity after surgery was obtained in 89 p.c. of eyes, in 59,3 p.c. it was value =5/10. Among intraoperative complications the most often was bleeding to the anterior segment of the eye (11 p.c.), in the late postoperative period it was pupil deformation. Conclusions: in the eyes, in which there are no conditions to implant the artificial lens into the capsular bag, the method used above is most profitable, because the localization of the artificial lens approximates most its anatomical position, there are relative low rate of complications and good functional results.
