    Streszczenie angielskie: The aim of the study is to asses the usefulness of transpupilary thermotheraphy (TTT) for the treatment of classic and occult choroidal neovascularisation (CNV) secondary to AMD. We treated 14 eyes of 9 patients in age from 70-84 years with CNV secondary to AMD. Each patient was examined for vision acuity with Snellen vision acuity, fundus examination with fundus photographs and fluoroscein angiography (FA) before treatment and 1, 2, 3 months after treatment. TTT was performed with diode laser 810 nm (Iris Medical OcuLight SLx, Iridex Corporation, Mountain View, CA, USA0. Laser beam sizes ranged between 0,8 to 3,0 mm depending on the size of CNV and power settings range between 210-790 mW. The diode laser was delivered through area centralis Volk laser lens and time 60 s. Vision acuity improved on 1 Snellen line in 3 eyes vision acuity remained stable, in 8 eyes deterioration of vision acuity was detected. In 9 eyes were decreased leakage on FA, in 5 eyes remained persistent and in 1 eye increased leakage on FA. TTT is a useful method for treatment of CNV secondary to AMD. It is able to close choroidal neovascularisation while maintaining vision acuity in patients.
