    Streszczenie angielskie: A case of a 61-year-old male with clinical symptoms of infective endocarditis due to streptococcus bovis is presented. Because of the described coexistence of infective endocarditis and colon cancer when ths pathhogen is identified, the patient underwent diagnostic procedures which disclosed the presence of asymptomatic colon cancer. At that time, the patient denied both cardiosurgery and abdominal surgery. Three months later he underwent colon resection and the diagnosis of colon cancer was confirmed by histopathological examination. In spite of further treatment, the patient died 14 days after the procedure.
