Streszczenie angielskie:
The purpose of our study was to evaluate the efficacy of prophylactic amnioinfusion in reducing perinatal complications associated with meconium-stained amniotic fluid. The labor and neonatal outcome of patients with prophylactic amnioinfusion performed over a 1-year period were compared to a control group of patients with meconium-stained amniotic fluid without amnioinfusion. The study included 112 pregnant women and their newborn, 57 in the study group and 55 in the control. Additional analysis of the newborns' condition in connection with amnioinfusion effectiveness was carried out in the study group. Thirty-five patients qualified to the effective amnioinfusion group and twenty-two to the ineffective amnioinfusion group. The cesarean sections rate and occurrence of perinatal disturbances in newborns were determined. Results were analyzed with chiý Pearson's test, chiýYates' test and chiýNW test. A p value 0,05 was considered statistically significant. There were distinct but not significant (p = 0.0553) differences between groups regarding mode of delivery. In the study group with amnioinfusion the indication for cesarean delivery was failure to progress while in the control group in more than 50 p.c. it was fetal distress. Infants delivered after amnioinfusion were in a better condition than those in the control group but only in the 5th minute of life were these differences statistically significant (p = 0.0067). There were no statistically in the neonatal outcomes regarding amnioinfusion effectiveness. Prophylactic amnioinfusion for meconium-stained amniotic fluid decreases the frequency of cesarean delivery in cases with threatened intrauterine asphyxia and contributes to improvement of neonetal condition...
