Streszczenie angielskie:
A turbulent flow can be a source of sounds called "murmur" or "souffle", and can be a result of pathology in the blood vascular system. A model of acoustical effects, related to stenosis of the aorta, was created. Numerical calculations of pressure fluctuations in the environment of a simulated turbulent region were performed.

Streszczenie angielskie:
Estimating the flow curve in coronary arteries is of great importance both from point of view of diagnosis, modeling and simulation. The aim of this work is to create a model of the coronary artery tree, simulate the stenosis areas in a particular coronary vessel and study the influence of different stenosis levels and coronary by-pass connections on the flow pattern. The model of the left coronary artery was created, based on an arteriogram developed by Sapoznikow [3] and Wang [4], where the vessel was divided into 14 segments described by geometrical and mechanical parameters. Each unit in the model is represented by an electrical analogue circuit, with R, L, C values obtained from coronary artery parameters based on the relationships resulting from Newtonian and continuity equations. The model-network of adequately connected blocks of transfer functions - corresponding to each left coronary artery segment was implemented in the Matlab-Simulink environment. A local stenosis was simulated by the change in geometrical and mechanical features of a particular segment causing a change in its transfer function. As a result of computer simulations performed on the model, the flow and pressure signals in a chosen aortic segment can be computed.
