Streszczenie angielskie: Cancer familial agregation (CFA) reflects an inherited predisposition to the development of the benign and malignant tumours. In the classification, the most frequent are the hereditary breast, ovarian and colerated cancers, while the hereditary lung cancer (HLC) is not fully defined as a disorders of a genetic ground. The research involved a group of 92 patients suffering from the lung cancer and one of 80 subjects with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) as a control. Information from the questionnaire was used for drawing the genealogies considering the incidence of different types of cancers in the particular family. 19.55 p.c. families fulfilled criteria of CFA and 3.25 p.c. - of HLC in the lung cancer patients group. In contrast with the first group, only 3.75 p.c. families fulfilled the criteria of CFA and 1.25 p.c. families - of HLC in COPD patients group. The patients with lung cancer had greater overall risk of this cancer than the patients with COPD providing that the neoplams appeared in the first-degree relatives (OR=3.09, P=0.037). The crude odds ratio of lung cancer individuals having one family member with lung cancer was 2.25 in comparison with COPD subjects (P=0.05). On the basis of the results above, it can be assumed that the lung cancer may belong to the hereditary malignancies.
