Aktualne przepisy zobowiązują stacje sanitarno-epidemiologiczne do systametycznego (czterokrotnego w ciągu roku) przeprowadzania pomiaru poziomu fluorków w wodzie pitnej i w powietrzu. Ponadto informacje takie możn uzyskać w Przedsiębiorstwie Wodociągów i Kanalizacji.

Streszczenie angielskie: The problem of determining the optimal doses of fluoride in caries prophylaxis is still relewant. The aim of monitoring the presence of this element in the environment is connected with the protection of patients and the planning of methods of dental services. The existent regulations bind Sanitary Epidemiological stations to systematic (four times a year) monitoring of fluoride levels in during water and in the atmosphere. Furthermore, information may be obtained from the Waterworks and Drainage stations. This data allows for the verification of indications for endogenous fluoride prophylaxis. Examinations carried out by the local Sanitary Epidemiological station in Poznań draw attention to the dependence of the results on the time of day and on the weather. They also suggest that over the last two decades the level of fluorides in drinking water shows a small tendency to be on the increase. This data should be taken into account in the determining of actual indications for endogenous fluoride prophylaxis.
